Rasha Nahas is a Palestinian singer, composer, actress, and multi-instrumentalist whose genre-bending sound—echoing PJ Harvey, David Bowie, and Patti Smith—fuses raw electric rock with folk, poetry, and (trans)traditional influences. Her debut album Desert (2021) chronicled her move to Berlin, while the acclaimed two-part Amrat (2023), recorded in the Occupied Golan Heights and released by UK label Cooking Vinyl, brought her from Glastonbury to WOMEX and tours across five continents. Set to release a new album in 2026 produced by Meshell Ndegeocello, she also composes for film, theater, and dance, and in 2024 became one of the first recipients of the Bertha Foundation’s Artivism Award.
