CHINYERE

CHINYERE is a hamburg-based sound designer. Growing up, they were surrounded by Igbo traditional music from their father’s side and alternative rock and a lot of Daft Punk from their mother’s side. They have a big heart for gqom, sghubu, and uthayela, especially enjoying rough, noisy sounds with heavy basslines and percussion. In their sets, they mix these subgenres with african electronic music, UK garage, and breaks to create a precessional dynamic.
