SONKO is a Berlin based DJ and radio host. The sounds of Reggae and Dub were important parts of SONKO’s formative years and undoubtedly paved the way for their love of DnB and Jungle. Their London upbringing, engulfed by these sounds and beyond, continues to influence the way that this multi-genre DJ embarks on sonic explorations today. However, rest assured that no genre is off limits for SONKO as the selector is instead driven by a deep connection to rhythm, whatever form that may take.SONKO is a THF radio resident. Their Mixed Emotions show, broadcast every 8 weeks on the Berlin community station, takes an emotion as a starting point for a sonic journey. SONKO is also a regular on Refuge Worldwide, where their Pace Shift show is all things DnB and Jungle, with a special focus on vinyl. Expect lots of vocals, energy and bass from their set!
